The Boards and Commissions in the Alvarado city government are comprised of volunteer citizens. They serve at the will and pleasure of the City Council and act as advisory to the Council in the administration of the city's planning, zoning board of adjustments, economic development, library, senior center, and parks. In most small towns it is often difficult to find willing volunteers necessary to field all the boards. If you are an Alvarado resident and would like to volunteer your services, please complete one of the attached applications and return or email it to the City Secretary's office. We will maintain a file of available and interested citizens willing to serve. View the Board Commission Applications (DOC).
