Irish Fest 2026: A Celebration to Remember

The City of Alvarado is proud to share the incredible success of our 2nd Annual Irish Fest! With an estimated attendance of over 1,500 community members and visitors, this year’s event brought energy, tradition, and unforgettable experiences to Pecan Orchard.

From the moment the festivities began, guests enjoyed a full day of live entertainment, unique vendors, family-friendly activities, and immersive cultural experiences. The live Irish bands created an authentic and lively atmosphere throughout the day, while the Celtic Kids Corner kept our youngest attendees engaged with hands-on fun and activities.

One of the standout features of this year’s event was the Irish Pub experience, which quickly became a crowd favorite. Designed to feel like a traditional pub, it offered a cozy, immersive space filled with music, storytelling, and gathering—truly capturing the spirit of Irish culture and community.

Another major highlight was the Buhurt (armored combat) demonstrations, which drew large crowds and added an exciting, high-energy element to the event. These demonstrations provided a unique glimpse into historical combat and were a memorable experience for attendees of all ages.

In addition, guests enjoyed shopping from a variety of vendors, delicious food offerings, cultural demonstrations, and a welcoming, festive environment that brought the community together.
